Website privacy

Your email.
Your choice.

What we collect when you join the waitlist. Why we use it. How to leave.

Just the US waitlist.

This notice covers the Meal US website and launch-email waitlist. Joining does not create an app account or subscribe you to a paid plan. The app has its own privacy notice.

What you share

Your email address and permission to receive Meal US launch emails. We also record when you joined, the signup page, button location and market, your signup status, and the wording and version of your consent. Your email and consent are required to join.

Why we use it

To manage the waitlist and email you about the US launch, based on your consent. We keep a protected record of that consent. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing support@meal-app.fr. Withdrawal does not change the lawfulness of earlier processing.

Keeping the form safe

We temporarily process your IP address and email to limit automated signups. Stored rate-limit identifiers are protected with a secret key; our application does not store raw IP addresses or full browser identifiers. This processing supports our legitimate interest in protecting the site from abuse. Our hosting provider may process technical request logs, including IP addresses, to operate and secure its services.

How long we keep it

Waitlist entries and consent records are scheduled for deletion 365 days after signup. You can ask us to remove yours sooner. Rate-limit records expire within 48 hours. Automated deletion can take additional processing time after expiration.

Who handles it

Authorized Meal operators and our hosting provider, Google Firebase, process information for these purposes. The US waitlist uses a separate project from the app. Its database is located in the European Union and its signup service runs in Belgium. Website delivery and provider support can involve processing in other countries. See Firebase’s privacy information for its processing terms and international-transfer safeguards.

Audience measurement

With your permission, ASearch measures visits, page views, outbound and App Store clicks, and scroll thresholds. It receives page paths without query strings or fragments, device category, the referring site’s origin and filtered campaign labels. No names, email addresses or form contents are sent to ASearch. Random identifiers stored in your browser last up to 30 days; sessions expire after 30 minutes of inactivity. Identifiers are hashed on the server separately for each site. This is pseudonymous measurement, not fully anonymous. Events are stored in Google Cloud in Europe for 90 days. Your choice lasts 180 days. Use “Audience measurement” at the bottom of the page to change it. Rejecting works equally well: ASearch stays off. Withdrawing stops collection and removes its browser identifiers, without automatically deleting earlier events. ASearch respects Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. We also count confirmed new waitlist signups by public page and button location using the signup record itself. If you accept audience measurement, we may also record a broad source category such as organic search or referral for the current signup page. We do not attach a browsing history or raw referring URL to your signup. We do not sell waitlist information or share it for targeted advertising. After signup, your browser stores a simple confirmation flag so the form remembers you joined. It contains no email address and stays until you clear this site’s browser data.

You’re in control.

To leave the waitlist, correct your email, request a copy of your information, or ask for deletion, email support@meal-app.fr from the address you used to sign up.

Your privacy rights

Where applicable, you can also request data portability or restrictions on processing, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. We may need to verify your request. You can complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL.
