Tater Tot Hotdish
Ground beef and vegetables bake in a creamy mushroom sauce beneath a layer of crisp tater tots and melted cheddar.
Serves 4
Directions
Heat the oven to 400°F. Set out a 9-by-13-inch baking dish and keep the tater tots frozen.
Cook the beef, onion, salt, and pepper in a skillet over medium-high heat for 7 to 9 minutes, breaking up the meat.
Once the beef reaches 160°F and the onion is soft, drain excess fat. Reduce the heat to medium.
Stir in the frozen vegetables, condensed soup, milk, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes, until hot.
Spread the filling in the dish. Arrange the frozen tater tots in one layer on top, without pressing them into the sauce.
Bake for 30 to 40 minutes, until the tots are crisp and the filling reaches 165°F in the center.
Scatter over the cheddar and bake for another 3 to 5 minutes, until melted. Rest for 5 minutes before serving.
